Common Issues & Solutions For Hydraulic Patch Fittings

Nov 18, 2025

news-1-1

Issue

Possible Cause

Solution

Door does not close fully

- Improper hydraulic speed setting- Misaligned upper/lower patch- Door axis not vertical

- Adjust Speed 1 & Speed 2 valves- Realign upper and lower patch fittings- Correct door verticality

Insufficient return force / door cannot return automatically

- Low hydraulic oil- Fatigued return spring- Mechanical blockage

- Check for oil leakage- Replace worn components or the entire patch fitting- Clean or replace internal mechanism

Closing speed too fast or too slow

- Speed adjustment screws incorrectly set- Oil channel blockage

- Adjust Speed 1 (opening range) & Speed 2 (final closing)- Replace unit if adjustment has no effect

Noise during operation (squeaking or metal friction)

- Loose screws- Glass touching frame- Worn spring or bearing

- Tighten all screws- Adjust glass position- Replace internal components

Hydraulic oil leakage

- Aged sealing ring- Housing damaged by impact- Long-term heavy use

- Replace sealing components- Replace entire patch fitting if housing is bent- Check weight compatibility (60–100kg types)

Door sagging

- Worn bearings- Overloaded glass weight- Improper installation

- Replace bearings- Ensure correct load rating- Re-align installation positions

Door shakes or is not smooth when closing

- Internal hydraulic gap too large- Door not level/vertical- Uneven damping setting

- Fine-tune damping- Recheck door leveling- Replace worn hydraulic module

Complete failure (no damping, no return force)

- Total oil loss- Broken spring- Overload for long periods

- Replace hydraulic patch fitting- Inspect upper/lower clamps for additional wear
